If you enjoyed the Christmas chalets at Lloyd’s Lounge last year, you’ll be delighted to hear that they’ve been given a fresh new makeover for summer! With six beach huts, each seating up to six people, this is your chance to enjoy a unique private drinking and dining experience, right in the heart of Exeter! Each hut is fitted with speakers for you to play your own music, all within a seaside-themed setting – creating feel-good holiday vibes for a memorable catch up with your loved ones. Slim Chickens – New restaurant

A relative newcomer to Exeter, you might not have got around to trying the delicious American-style offerings at Slim Chickens yet. While they have been providing delivery, and most recently outdoor dining, on the 17th of May Slim Chickens will be opening its doors to diners for the very first time! So, why not pop along and take advantage of their tasty new deals? For opening week, you can enjoy two Camden Hells beers and 10 tenders for just £14.45, and when you download their app you can even get your hands on some FREE tenders. Plus, don’t forget to try their new mint Oreo shake – it’s out of this world!

Coffee#1 – New Menu

Having recently celebrated 20 years of being awesome, Coffee#1 promises award-winning coffee, comfy sofas, beautiful interiors and cosy corners to hide away in for a quiet half hour. And what better to go along with your mug of coffee (in a PROPER cup!) than a slice of Coffee#1’s new raspberry rocky road? This delicious biscuit and chocolate bar is jam packed with marshmallows, raspberry pieces, white chocolate chips and a raspberry caramel drizzle. Yum!

Weekends are for brunching and lunching! Welcoming indoor dining back in style, Coal Kitchen, Exeter has introduced a few new gems to its menu. For early risers, there’s a warming shakshuka. While lunchtime diners can enjoy a grilled halloumi pitta and tagine spiced cod – the perfect lunchtime pick-me-up! Plus, there are chilled summery spritzers to spruce up your shopping trip, and a special 2 for £12 offer on cocktails! So, what are you waiting for – book your table now!

Chandos Exeter – New Food

With a regularly updated menu, packed with the freshest salads, tempting treats and inventive sandwiches, there’s always something exciting to try at Chandos deli. The new ‘Chandos Creuben’ is a particular favourite of ours! Generously filled with slow-cooked local free range pork loin and roasted ham, plus cheddar, pickle slaw and a Russian dressing, this is a sandwich you won’t be forgetting in a hurry! There are plenty of options for veggies and vegans, too, like aubergine ‘meatballs’, ‘scampi’ fried cauliflower and ‘phish’ finger sandwiches.

Just in time for summer, Starbucks has recently introduced two new frappuccinos to the menu – choose from caramel brownie or chocolate coffee crunch. Plus, there’s a new Blonde vanilla latte, and a chocolate chip cookie latte, made with velvety steamed milk and Starbucks Signature espresso roast, infused with chocolate chip cookie syrup and finished with a cookie crumb topping. And if you’re stopping for a bite to eat, there’s a new spinach and pea falafel wrap, a veggie New York-style deli sandwich and a delicious chicken, mozzarella and pesto focaccia.

New spice, new salads, new sides… it’s all going on at Nando’s! Veggies will now have an even wider choice with the introduction of a delicious and tangy quinoa and feta salad, rainbow bowl, and PERi-Plant strips, while spice fiends will be delighted with the introduction of the new Garlic BBQ seasoning. And if that wasn’t enough, there are new and improved recipes on burgers and pittas, plus four new South African wines on the menu. Get yourself down there – pronto!

Lockdown hasn’t stopped wagamama from being their usual amazingly innovative selves – if anything it’s allowed them the time to be even MORE creative! So, say hiya to hiyashi and goodbye to eating katsu in your coat. Brighter days call for lighter bowls, so wagamama are delighted to welcome you back to their benches with a range of fresh new menu additions. Light, bright and balanced, their new hiyashi noodle bowls are serving you summer on a plate – don’t miss them!
