Experience the taste of autumn!
This season is all about comfort food and cosy autumn flavours – think pumpkin spice, maple syrup, oozing cheese and simmering stews. If it feels like a warm hug, we’re in! Here’s what we’ve spotted on the menu this month…
Thrice the spice
It’s finally pumpkin season at Starbucks! This year, we’re pretty certain you’re going to fall for the new Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. Iced coffee lovers will dig the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino®; a combination of ice-blended Starbucks coffee, pumpkin pie sauce and milk, topped with delicious whipped cream and pumpkin pie spices. Purists need not fret, either, because the original PSL is back on the menu. There are also seasonal sweet treats for you to try, from a pumpkin spice loaf, to a toffee apple muffin and vegan pumpkin spice cookie.
Cheese, Louise!
The Truffle Rigatoni at Coal Kitchen is not to be missed this autumn. Baked in truffle-infused Somerset cream, this seriously decadent dish is topped with focaccia crumb and a generous amount of Parmesan for the ultimate cheesy finish. For those of you looking for something meatier, the slow-cooked lamb shoulder served on crushed Niçoise potatoes is a sure winner!
Oh gourd!
It might not be a new dish, but if this season has made you potty for pumpkin, make sure you get your fix at YO! with these tasty vegan-friendly dishes. Take your pick from pumpkin katsu, drizzled with fruity tonkatsu sauce and served with pak choi & ponzu salad, or the robust pumpkin katsu curry, with a mild curry sauce, spring onions and steamed rice.
We’re nuts for it
Find yourself a new favourite for autumn with the limited-edition Maple Hazel trio at Costa Coffee. Say hello to the new Maple Hazel Latte, Maple Hazel Iced Latte & Maple Hazel Hot Chocolate: toasty roasted hazelnut syrup and luxurious maple sauce, all topped with a light dairy swirl and sprinkled with a crunchy biscuit topping. They’re the ultimate trio of indulgence.
Sharing is caring!
If you’re looking for the mightiest meatiest sharing board in town, you’ll find it at Margoux! The perfect dish for a chilly autumn evening, this rich and comforting platter comes with a 500g treacle-cured chateaubriand, watercress salad, onion rings, roasted bone marrow, sticky ox cheek, Parmesan & truffle fries, plus peppercorn & bearnaise sauces.
Toast of the town
At Chandos Deli there’s an ever rotating menu, with new items appearing daily. But, one thing you can be fairly sure of is that they’ll have a cracking cheese toastie on the menu to make you feel all warm and cosy. The current three cheese toastie is simply epic. Featuring roasted Portobello mushrooms in butter, chives, oozy melting brie, stringy mozzarella, tangy Parmesan aioli and baby spinach. Be ready for some serious cheese dreams after this one!
PSL… I love you
If you’re a fan of pumpkin spice on pretty much everything, you’re going to love the autumn drinks menu at Coffee#1. The seasonal favourite is now available and you can have it in a latte (classic), a cappuccino, a frappé and even a hot chocolate. Yum! Why not order a maple syrup flapjack to go alongside it for the ultimate taste of autumn? We can’t think of a better combo!
