Welcome to JackSpeak the Dartmouth based clothing brand. Dartmouth is known as the cradle of the Royal Navy and is the home of the Britannia Royal Naval College where all Royal Navy officers are trained including His Majesty King Charles III who passed out on 16th September 1971 – following in the footsteps of his father, grandfather and both great-grandfathers.

JackSpeak Clothing takes its inspiration from the last 400 years of Royal Naval history. The term JackSpeak is the phrase used to describe all of the Royal Navy seafaring slang language still used to this present day. If you have ever described the cold as ‘brass monkeys’ or been told to ‘pull your finger out’ or had ‘3 square meals a day’ you have spoken JackSpeak. 

Alongside our 100% organic cotton graphic tees with some of these sayings adorned on them we also have a beautiful range of British made knitwear that give you a modern twist on a classic. From merino wool Submariner jumpers to British Lambswool Guernsey sweaters made in Guernsey for us to the highest standard we aim to give our customers an oustanding choice of knits, tees, hoodies and wet weather clothing, we even have our own rum and gin. We have joined forces with Musto®, Emmett London and Guernsey Woollens and have drawn on their emmense knowledge and experience to produce unique but functional garments we are proud to call our own.

JackSpeak was founded in 2017 when two friends discussed the whisp of an idea whilst watching the rugby in a local Dartmouth pub. Both partners are rugby players and boatmen with a lifelong connection to Dartmouth including a close family member who was the seemstress at the Britannia Royal Naval College for over 25 years. With the love of creating a coastal clothing brand, love of Dartmouth and the love of adventure JackSpeak set sail and has just landed in Princesshay, Exeter.
