A Christmas never to forget

After a year like no other, Christmas may well look a little different this year, but there are still plenty of ways to let in the light. Wrapping up and stepping out for some exercise with your family to take in the thousands and thousands of twinkling lights in Princesshay is a guaranteed way to immerse yourself in that inimitable Christmassy feeling. As you stroll through Princesshay pause by Chief the stag, the illuminated throne and a huge Christmas tree decorated with over 300 individual decorations.

Of course, while there are no events in Princesshay this year, the lights will sparkle quietly to life, they will be shining brightly by the time you read this.

Share what you can spare
Charities have taken a big financial hit during 2020 while continuing to deliver desperately needed services in the toughest of circumstances. This Christmas, more than ever, we need to help raise awareness of the amazing work our local charities do. 2020 has brought out so much kindness among friends, family, neighbours and strangers.
In recognition of this, Princesshay’s Christmas theme is ‘Give Thanks’ – giving back to those we love and those who have helped us this year. To do this Princesshay is collaborating with Exeter Homelessness Partnership. As soon as is allowed, a new ‘pop up’ Giving Hub will open on Roman Walk and will be taking donations of winter coats, sleeping bags, boots and some other specific items for the charity. There will also be a ‘tap to give’ contactless donation point where shoppers can tap to donate £3 to Exeter Homelessness Partnership.

Get Christmas Ready
Of course, it is still possible to start your Christmas shopping with some Princesshay stores operating a click and collect system. Choose your loved ones goodies, gifts and treats, pay online and pick up from the Princesshay store.

Support Independents
Princesshay is home to some lovely independent businesses and you can still support them.. Beautiful Inside Out has gorgeous Christmas gift ideas that can be browsed online and collected from their store while SAKS and The Cove both offer gift vouchers, buy them online for an appointment later in the year.

Congratulations to the Exeter Chiefs
Following the Chiefs historic European and domestic double win, Princesshay has a great treat up their sleeves for fans. As soon as stores reopen, the Chiefs Trading Post van will be onsite in Princesshay with all the merchandise any superfan needs this Christmas.

Princesshay has more plans to deliver a twinkly, relaxed and magical Christmas shopping experience, we might all just have to wait a little longer than expected.
