Join us throughout Princesshay Square for ‘Let’s Chalk About Mental Health’, our annual Mental Health Awareness event sparking conversation throughout the city and further afield.

Let your creativity take over and join in with our live mural being created throughout Princesshay Square courtesy of Urban Canvas.

Designed to highlight the importance of talking, sharing and listening to others, this year’s event will boast an array of partners offering support & guidance, forming connections, plus inspiring creativity and positivity, celebrating the power and importance of community. This year’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is ACTION: for yourself, for someone else, for all of us.

Partners for 2026 include;

  • Exeter Leisure – Education & Advice Stand. Stress relief boxing and fitness demonstrations. Traybake and shakes samples. Aromatherapy giveaways and treatment demos. Spin to win giveaways.
  • DYS Space – VR headsets & Circus Skills
  • Step One Charity – Wellbeing activity
  • Feel Good Singers – Uplifting performance
  • Dickon Fell Ukuleles – Ukulele for Wellbeing
  • YMCA Exeter – Activities & games to showcase Children’s wellbeing
  • ECI – Action through Art – Magic Carpet Workshop
  • Westbank – Health Walk, Community Hub featuring mindfulness activities. Fitness demonstrations & gym challenges/giveaways. Community Cookery School challenges plus Devon Carers & Devon Parent Carers activity and presence.
  • The Deaf Academy – An introduction to BSL; Alphabet, emotions and much more.
  • 2Wish – flyers and presence
  • Yassou- Me – Infrared Body Roller demonstrations

11.30am – 12.30pm – Live Music with Adam Moran and Richard James

12.30pm – 1.30pm – Exeter Leisure Stage takeover – featuring live exercise demos

1.30pm – Dedicated Health Walk – led by Step One Charity (duration approx 30 mins)

1.30pm – 2.30pm – Live Music with Adam Moran and Richard James

2.30pm – 3pm – Westbank takeover – featuring live exercise demos from their Fitness Team.
