Festive fun at Princesshay

Whether its caroling around the Christmas Tree, tapping your toes to the festive tunes or watching in awe at the dazzling illuminated performers, here at Princesshay we’ve got the perfect mix of acts bound to get you in the mood for the big day itself!

15th November, 1pm – 3pm: Exeter and District Scout Council Gangshow – a musical performance of Gangshow songs and carols from the Exeter and District Scout community.

20th November, 5pm, 6pm & 7pm: SPARK – a high-tech extravaganza of amazing drumming, stunning costumes, dynamic choreography and light!

22nd November,

Midday, 1.30pm & 3pm: Angie’s Festive Funky Hooping – With a large stack of hoops and some very funky Christmas tunes, Angie is bringing some extra festive cheer!

1.30pm – 3pm: University of Exeter Contemporary Choir – the University’s only un-auditioned popular music choir

23rd November, 2pm: Exeter Little Theatre Company – Cinderella Promotional Teaser

27th November, 5pm, 6pm & 7pm: Thawed – From the frozen wastelands and snowy peaks comes Jack Frost and his enchanted tree Aurora Borealis (Walkabout entertainers)

29th November,

Midday, 1.30pm & 3pm: Wint-a-lings – In the heart of winter, two enchanting Christmas puppets come to life, radiating festive cheer. They sing joyful Christmas carols, voices ringing out clear and merry, and as they perform, fibre optic lights sparkle in harmony with the melody, creating a magical, musical light show. (Walkabout entertainers)

3pm: Footlights – The University of Exeter’s biggest Musical Theatre society.

30th November, 12pm – 3pm: Exeter University Brass Ensemble – A traditional brass ensemble with a modern twist. Performing both traditional brass tunes plus fun arrangements of pop music.

4th December,

5pm, 6pm & 7pm: Roller Skating Presents – Two elegant illuminated presents skilfully glide their way through the busy crowds. Eye catching and mesmerising, these delightfully vintage gifts look like they have appeared from nowhere and can disappear again in a flash. (Walkabout entertainers)

6pm – 7pm: Sweet Nothings – University of Exeter’s all women and gender non-conforming Contemporary a cappella group. 

6th December,

Midday, 1.30pm & 3pm: Candy Cane Elves – The Candy Cane Elves are a whimsical, candy-coated spectacle mounted on hoverboards disguised as candy cane skis and wielding oversized lollipop ski poles they weave through crowds, stopping along the way for some playful encounters. (Walkabout entertainers)

1pm – 3pm: Soul of the City Gospel Choir – the leading Devon Gospel Choir bringing joy, harmony, and powerful vocal performances to audiences across the South West.

7th December, Midday, 1.30pm & 3pm: Running Dog Theatre CIC presents Spark! The Bear – An enchanting walkabout puppetry performance featuring The Bear.

11th December, 5pm, 6pm & 7pm: Bouncing Snowmen -They’re bouncing in the air! At 8ft tall on bouncy stilts, larger than life, and full of Christmas cheer, they’re physical, fun and always out for an adventure or a nice cold hug. (Walkabout entertainers)

13th December, Midday, 1.30pm & 3pm: Christmas Nutkins – Giant, furry and rare red squirrels Mr and Mrs Nutkins make delightful companions. (Walkabout entertainers)

1.30pm – 2.30pm: Sweet Nothings – University of Exeter’s all women and gender non-conforming contemporary a cappella group. 

18th December, 5pm, 6pm & 7pm: Corvus Angelicus – These two ten feet tall luminous angels spread love and light, joy and hope wherever they go. They are accompanied as they perambulate by mesmerising music . A breathtakingly beautiful performance that uplifts the spirit and feeds the soul.

20th December,

Midday, 1.30pm & 3pm: Bouncing Elves– Bouncy giant elves with high expectations. These guys waste no time sizing up who deserves Santa’s visit this Christmas. (Walkabout entertainers)

1pm – 2pm: The Sing Space, Musical Theatre Choir– Led by Kelly Young and back by popular demand, this Exeter Musical Theatre Choir will certainly get you in the mood for the festivities!
