Lucy Loves… falling into Autumn
October… I’m not sure how I feel about it this. As much as I LOVE Christmas, Summer is my season and it has gone in the blink of an eye. It was kind of Covid to bring us the nicest Spring/Summer weather when we had to stay at home…
In an ideal world, Summer would last from January to November then a cold, Christmassy December. Nevertheless, Autumn for me means the countdown to Christmas has started and there are a few autumn favourites which bring me excitement at this time of year…
Coats – big, warm, cosy, coats. Coats to hide the cold weather carbs. I’m not ashamed to admit that I buy a new Winter coat (OK a few) each year. My favourite coats are from Zara & New Look. My most worn coat I’ve had for 4 years from New Look and I can’t bring myself to say goodbye.
Jeans and a jumper – What are you going to wear shopping? Jeans and a jumper. What are you going to wear for a beach walk? Jeans and a jumper. What are you going to wear out for lunch? Jeans and a “nice” jumper. Night out? Wait for it… smart black jeans. Ultimate comfort 24/7.
The return of the onesie – one of the most important items in your wardrobe, alongside an oversized coat to hide it when you nip to the shop so no one knows. If there’s one autumn essential you invest in this year, make sure it’s a onesie, especially if you have to “stay at home”… This is the year we will be trading in our festive party dresses for onesies and I’m not mad about it.
