Join our Coronation Celebrations at Princesshay

We’re delighted to be an official Big Lunch destination partner for the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort.

The Big Lunch, an Eden Project Communities Initiative, brings people together to share friendship, food and fun, and on Sunday 7^th May between 11am – 3pm within Princesshay Square, we’ll be doing just that!

Our turf will be laid with picnic benches to encourage visitors to stay a while and enjoy a celebratory event in the heart of the city.

Live Lindy in the City performances by the South West Lindy Hoppers, accompanied by the sensational Hummingbirds trio will surely get your feet tapping – feel free to dance if you fancy!

We’ve family entertainment courtesy of Children’s entertainer Paul Zee, plus Changing Faces will be at the ready with her brushes to create an array of fabulous face painted designs. Leave your mark on the Pentagon regal-themed giant colouring wall then check out the incredible ‘Our Place’ Market stalls showcasing the finest local crafts, handmade goods, and local produce.

Opt to bring a picnic, or why not treat yourself to a tasty take-out from our fabulous cafes & restaurants within Princesshay?

Plus, check out our Busy Bees family drop-in spot providing a welcome break in your shopping adventure this Spring/Summer (located nearby to Princesshay Square)- we’ve got a collection of activity sheets, children’s activities & games just waiting to be explored.
