February half term, sorted
From rainy-day rescues to big-energy shopping trips, pick the ideas that fit your week. Here’s where to start.
Got one free afternoon?
Wander around Princesshay with a treat (or two) thrown in. For mum-and-daughter shopping trips, Lucy & Yak is a go-to for new drops and bold prints or for keepsakes check out the Bridgerton x Pandora limited-edition collection.
If your children have grown out of their clothes, see what’s new at Zara Kids, from the soft capsule pieces for toddlers to varsity-inspired styles for older kids.
Bring your little ones along to spend their pocket money (it’s Mother’s Day coming up, after all). Big draws are colourful bath bombs at LUSH or cute jewellery from Oliver Bonas.

Something indoors (because it’s February)
When the weather says no, go shopping. Head to HMV for new music and books – the Stranger Things soundtrack is firmly on our wishlist. Over at Flying Tiger, there’s so much choice and we particularly rate the play tents (perfect for indoor adventures).
And don’t forget: Pancake Day falls on 17th February. Now’s the time to plan a pancake party – Next has everything you need in the home and kitchenware department.

Want to leave the house but not spend much?
Half term doesn’t have to mean big spending. YO!’s Kids Eat Free deal runs throughout the school holidays, making it an easy win for lunch out. Over at Nando’s, children can tuck into the kids’ set menu while parents refuel with something a little more substantial – everyone leaves happy.
Now’s also a good time to download your favourite retailers’ apps for rewards, discounts and the occasional freebie.

Entertaining kids and adults
Music lovers can book ahead for live gigs at 12 Bar – tickets go fast. Highlights include JIAL with Louis Alberry on 20th February and lunchtime jazz with the Dave Morecroft Trio on 21st February. Check listings and plan ahead at 12-bar.com/events.
Finally, if you’re already dreaming of summer sun, pop into TUI to start planning your next family getaway.
